Hi All,

I hope you all managed to get through Lockdown 4.0 safely; I must admit – the novelty has definitely worn off!  The good news is that footy is back this weekend and it will be great to see the kids out on the park again.

The other positive news is the SMJFL intends to run footy right into September, with up to 15 rounds, depending on age group.  Please see the link below for the latest fixtures:

Congratulations to all of our players that have made the U13, U14 and U15 NGA and Interleague squads.  There will be more information on this shortly, but for those who will be in town, the Interleague matches are scheduled for June 30 and July 7.

Please note the following SMJFL guidance on restrictions in place for matches this week:

Finally, for those who might have missed it, Lou Prichard Nicholson sent out some information on crowd behaviour in the recent newsletter.  Could you please keep the following in mind:

GAME DAY BEHAVIOUR

Recently SBMT has had communication and a warning from the SMJFL regarding poor behaviour from crowds supporting our club at matches.
The St Bedes/Mentone Tigers has a zero tolerance for abusive or inappropriate behaviour at any time, at any match, function or training session. SBMT cannot sustain league fines for such behaviour, requiring the club to take the step of suspensions for unacceptable parent or player behaviour, with further action considered for repeated offences.

A copy of our St Bedes/Mentone Tigers Code of Conduct is available on the club website:  https://stbedesmentonetigers.com.au/our-policy/code-of-conduct/

Let’s remember the focus of our junior football is our kids and encourage all to behave accordingly.

I hope all of this makes sense.  Please contact me if it needs further explanation.

Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, there will be NO TIGER TALK THIS SUNDAY, but I hope to see you all back at the clubrooms shortly.

In the meantime, good luck to all of our teams this weekend.   GO TIGES…

Thanks,

Craig
