2023 Development Coach Lucas Barrett

St Bedes/Mentone Tigers AFC is excited to have Lucas Barrett return to the football club in a Development Coach Role in 2023. Lucas a former School Captain at St Bedes College in 2017, has previously held roles as Head Coach of the U17s and U19’s Assistant Coach in 2019.

As a Football Club we pride ourselves on providing players the best opportunity to succeed. There is real excitement at the football club for what the future holds, and we are extremely positive about the development opportunities for our current group of players for the 2023 season.

As the Development Coach, Lucas will oversee the clubs first to third year Senior player development program, also working closely with our listed NAB League players, club U19’s and U17’s programs to facilitate the transition of available players into Senior football via the Clubs Player Developing Pathway Program.  The program will be designed to cater to and encourage a player’s development, introducing players to important training and game concepts that guide them from junior football through to training and playing opportunities at U19’s and Senior level.

Lucas will join our Senior Coaching Team and work closely with our Senior Coach.  We are thrilled to have Lucas join the coaching team and know he will bring a positive and collaborative contribution to our football club to benefit all involved and to provide the playing group with a pathway to playing senior football.
