Belinda believes the current culture at SBMT sets a brilliant example for other clubs to aspire to. The club has laid the foundations for success by driving important societal values such as teamwork, inclusion, dedication and care for one another. These factors are what drew Belinda to the club and she hopes to continue to empower the young playing group to realise their potential as individuals and as a team, both on and off the field.
Belinda loves seeing the exponential growth of women and girls when they are guided through the football fundamentals of fitness, skill development and match execution. The women at SBMT have an incredible growth mindset and the drive from the leadership group to push the team further makes them a real pleasure to coach. After several years of hard work and consolidation of the game plan, 2022 was a break-out season for the Senior Women who won the clubs first ever female premiership – both Seniors and Reserves! Belinda and her coaching team are excited to see further development from the playing group and look forward to taking on the challenge of moving up a division in 2023.
Belinda is undertaking a scholarship to become a Level 2 Coach and, in conjunction with the Coaching Director and coaches from Juniors to Senior Assistants, is developing a cohesive coaching team with a consistent game plan for girls and women travelling the SBMT football pathway.
