The club shares the sad news of Mick Zakic’s passing extends its deepest sympathies to the Zakic family.
Mick was a former player, former Club Junior President, and current Under 19 parent who passed away on Sunday.
Mick was an inspiration to all who knew him through each stage of his time at the footy club.
He stepped up as the Club’s Junior President between 2017 and 2020 during a period of increasing participation and built a strong committee to ensure our players received high-quality coaching and support.
Mick had an aura of brightness that shone every time he walked into the club and the tributes from club members that had flowed reflected his welcoming smile:

- I was lucky enough to play footy with him and enjoy his company later in life together watching our daughters play netball.
- A great man who brought nothing but happiness into the room when he walked in.

- Such a joy to be around him.
- Always had time for everyone.
- Outstanding administrator, volunteered to make a difference.
- Such a lovely man, gave great service to the club.
