Tom Garside has announced his retirement and played his final game in Round 9’s Senior Men’s home match against Old Peninsula. The Garside name goes hand in hand with our footy club, and Tom has been a massive part of it.
He is just the ultimate SBMT person. His dedication to the footy club over the years has been unbelievable. Graduating from the SBMT juniors, Tom and his brother Dan ran water during the famous 3 peat of senior flags for the club.
Anyone who plays over 190 senior games at a club like this obviously has talent, but his work ethic, and passion for the club is what has made him such a valuable player for such a long time. He is a much loved, amazing contributor both on and off field for the footy club, and his absence is certainly going to leave a big void at Brindisi St.
We are going to miss him, but with brother Dan still playing on I am sure Tommy won’t be a stranger. From all at both SBMT and Euroa footy clubs… Thank you TG!
