After the previous weeks loss the seniors were facing their biggest challenge this season. In a magnificent team performance they swept aside second-placed University Blacks by 21 points in their clash at Parkville on Saturday. Despite missing onballers Sam Anstey, Ben Phibbs, and winger Paul Groves as well as losing State U19 captain Brendan Neville during the game, the side was able to break clear with a five-goal last quarter. In the absence of the experienced players U19โs Chris Mouritz dominated at half forward, while Dean Porter proved a handful with some brilliant marks. Chris Richards and the Scafidi brothers were also brilliant around the ground. The Tigers face Marcellin another final four contender at Bulleen on Saturday.
