The Club is delighted to announce the senior on-field leadership team for season 2009. James Tyquin will captain the Tigers, ably assisted by vice-captains Ben Phibbs and Anthony Scafidi, and deputy vice-captains Peter McGettigan and Jack Hellier. “Tyqs” started with the Club as an Under 9 and, along with his entire family, has been an integral part of the Tiger’s growth and success. Like all the leadership group, he is driven by a passion for Club success at the highest possible level and plans to lead from the front. The Club also wishes to once again acknowledge the efforts of outgoing captain Luke Wintle who has stepped out of the role after eight magnificent seasons. Three premierships, twice best on ground in a grand final, and recently bestowed Life Membership of the Club, Luke’s contribution both on and off the field has been enormous.
