Just a terrific 4 quarter effort from a terrific Tiger side who now have that total self belief that they are going places.
In what was considered to be a danger game after the form of the last 3 weeks the boys just refused to let Uni Blues into the game and set it all up with a great first quarter. Again the pressure applied by the forwards to keep the ball in the attacking half was just too much for the opposition.
To kick 5 6 5 and 6 over the 4 quarters is a true reflection of just how much we dominated the game never taking the foot off the pedal and winning every quarter, it truly shows now that this young enthistiac side has arrived as a force to be reckoned with in the competition.
Shaun Glennen showed his class with 6 twins, James Murnane continued to prove his worth with 5 Michelles, Cameron Hansen who is now showing his true value kicked 4, while Tommy Garside came out of his shell and played a terrific game down back.
After the devastion of Round 1 and a miserly 27% we go into the break at 5/3 and a percentage of over 100% an amazing turn around by the club where the credit must go to Mick Dwyer and the Coaching staff and of course this fantastic group of players who have so much spirit and confidence.
All of this in front of the inaugrual St Bedes Mentone Tigers 1993 Premiership side who won the flag in the first year of the merged club, with 19 of the 22 present at a great Lunch where the stories just got bigger and bigger.
