It is with great sadness that the Club shares news of the passing of Brother Finian Allman. Brother Finian was the third Headmaster of the College from 1953-1958. He had a great love of teaching and had an extraordinary love and affection for the Old Collegians Association and the many students / Old Collegians that he had met or become associated with over the past many years.
May he rest in peace. Brother Finian will be laid in State at the St Bede’s College Chapel from 9.30am on Wednesday 11th February. The whole College will gather as his coffin is lead on a procession around the front oval and his beloved cricket wicket from at 12.30pm before the boys perform a guard of honour for him. His body will then leave the College and head to St Patrick’s in Mentone.
The College has extended an invitation to All Old Collegians to be a part of this occasion and asks that if you would like to be involved, please gather on the front oval at 12.30pm. Please park your cars at the RSL in Palermo Street.
The Old Collegians are also putting together a collection of all the tributes received for Brother Finian. If you would like to contribute something, please email with your piece.
