In an inspired move Collingwood has snappe up our 2008 A Section Premiership Coach Luke Beveridge as their Development Coach and Manager. Just weeks after being appointed Coach of TAC Cup side Sandringham.
Luke will replace the club’s previous development coach Alan Richardson, who crossed to Essendon at the end of the season to take up an assistant coaching role.

Bevo has an unmatched coaching record, having led the Tigers to three successive premierships while moving up a section level each year from C in 2006 to A Section this season, the first side to do so in VAFA history.

Bevo played 118 AFL games for Melbourne, Footscray and St Kilda, and comes from a strong footballing bloodline that includes his grandfather Jack, who played 148 games for Collingwood, and his father John, who has been involved in recruiting at St Kilda for over 25 years.

He will commence his new coaching role when the team returns from the high altitude training camp in Arizona, which will be held from November 10 to 24.
