St Bedes/Mentone AFC is looking for a Canteen Manager for Mentone Oval at Brindisi Street, on Sundays during football season ( April – September).
We require a mature person who can set up, run and co-ordinate the canteen from approximately 9am to 4pm each week.
Skills and experience
- Ability to manage daily operations and management of the Canteen
- Food Handling Certificate essential.
- Demonstrated understanding and ability to prepare, cook and promote foods.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise casual staff.
- Ensure that the operation of the canteen is in line with the direction and values of the Club.
- Understanding of WH&S principles.
- A valid Working with Children’s Check.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the canteen and its contents are secure at all times.
- Ensure the canteen is kept in a hygienic manner, following safe food handling practices.
- Provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Assist with food preparation as required.
- Keep all shelves and fridges clean and fully stocked.
- Ensure that all areas are stocked and tidy to deliver a full service.
- Take note of any stock that needs ordering.
- Clean and wipe down machines at end of shift where applicable.
- Ensure food is served at the correct temperatures and portion size
