The Club is looking for assistance with obtaining a new computer. We have a specialised application that needs to run on a relatively new PC or laptop. The following specification is provided for guidance:
Windows XP or Vista;
Single core processor at 2.4GHz or Dual core processor at 1.7GHz;
1024MB of RAM;
120GB, 7200 rpm hard disk drive;
Graphics card with 128 or 256 MB dedicated memory, resolution of 1280×800 and 32 bits colours;
IEEE 1394 port (or FireWire or I-link) built in or capable of being added in.
A computer satisfying this requirement would typically cost $1,000 for a desktop or around $1,300 for a laptop. Supporting a new innovation for the Club, the computer will primarily be used to process match day videos.
