The senior side tuned up for the VAFA B Section finals with a 57 point win over Marcellin at Mentone on Saturday.
The Reserves who also finished top of the table lost narrowly to Marcellin whilst the Under 19 side defeated second place Beaumaris by 133 points on Saturday. Beaumaris though played Ducks and Drakes with by resting a number of players.
Marcellin pressed early in the first quarter and only trailed by seven points at the first break. However with skipper Luke Wintle in scintalating form around the ground the tigers small men led by Ben Phipps, Damien Waters and Sam Anstey gradually grinded their opposition towards defeat. Phipps finished with four goals as did Sam Hecker. Andrew Scafidi also chipped in with three.
Half backs Anthony Scafidi and Jack Hellier both played great warm up games whilst young Justin Swayn played well at full back.
