Congratulations to Sam Hecker who this week plays his 150th St Bedes / Mentone Tigers senior game. Sam played his first U19 VAFA game in 1992 as a 16 year old and over many seasons has thrilled the Brindisi Street crowd with brilliant marking and deadly goal kicking. Sammyโ€™s five goals in last years B Section Grand Final win was a match winning performance. Great effort by Lloyd Kelly on bringing up his 100th VAFA game after starting in the U10โ€™s back in 1995. Lloydy is a fantastic clubman and aside from a premiership medallion was recognised as the SBMT junior player of the year in 2003. Well done to other ones players in Jon Kane and Daniel Poynton who this week bring up 50 VAFA game milestones. And finally congrats to Kizza McConnell and Andrew (the human battering ram) Walstab who recently notched up their 100th club game and to Claye Tobin on his 50th VAFA game. The junior system works as almost all played junior football for the Tigers!
