Seniors had an outstanding win by 59 points against local rival and fellow finals aspirants Old Brighton at Brighton Beach Oval on Saturday which surely will signal the side as the real deal in A Section. The Tigers were impressive in the first half, with Peter McGettigan on fire in the the forward line and with their trademark tackling and intensity over the contested ball, led by 37 points at the long break. With the wind in the third quarter, they extended their lead to 63 points at orange time and with Anthony Scafidi impassable in defence continued into the wind to extend this to 13 goals before eventually running out comfortable winners. This win leaves the side in 3rd place on the table with 3 critical games in coming weeks that will define their season.The U19s won by 104 points against St Bernards while the Club XVIII won by 25 points to both remain in 2nd position on their respective ladders.
