Seniors let a golden opportunity slip when they went down to Old Scotch by 3 points at Camberwell.
The Tigers started well and led early but poor kicking for goal enabled Scotch to lead by 12 points at the first change.
The poor goalkicking continued as the Tigers dominated the second quarter but were only able to kick 2.8 to 1.3 for the quarter.
The third quarter was a cracker as first one team then the other assumed the ascendency and there was only a point in it at the final change.
The Tigers stormed forward and with Chris Mouritz and Ben Phibbs getting plenty of the ball looked to establish a winning lead but Old Scotch wouldn’t go away.
Twice Scotch got to what looked a winning lead only to be pegged back by the Tigers but ultimately time ran out with the visitors 3 points in arrears.
