Fine weather, good food, and a good crowd made Saturday a perfect Practice Match Day for the Club. Starting with the Under 19’S game between themselves, where some terrific players and excellent skills were on display, the competition for spots in the 2 sides was hot, and all were out to impress the Coaches. With the numbers and talent available there is no do doubt that both the Premier and South sides will be looking to play Finals football again. The Reserves with a sprinkling of experience and youth continue to improve and play good football, and to be able to hang on and defeat an experienced D1 Senior side was no mean feat. The Senior Game saw Sale jump out of the blocks early and open up a couple of goal lead that they held until the first break. After that it was all the Tigers as they put into practise what they had been taught over summer to totally dominante the next 3 quarters and come away with a pretty convincing 6 goal victory, one that had plenty of smiling faces and lots of positive thoughts on Saturday night. It was a strong team effort with the mix of old and new combining well together. One more Practise Match to go to refine our game before we head down the road to open the season against old rivals Beaumaris.
