On behalf of our members we would like to express our thoughts and prayers to Ted Burkes family. Ted, who passed away last Saturday morning, was a staunch supporter and contributer to the St Bedes / Mentone Tigers mission to reach the highest levels of VAFA football. It may have taken 20 years, but Ted was part of the group that thought we could do it. The photo left was taken in Saigon in 2010. Each year Ted and his mates visited Vietnam to support and fund raise for an orphanage run by a nun. That was typical of Ted. Our heartfelt condolences to Ted’s wife, Anne and to Damian, Paul and Sarah and their extended families. Ted was always smiling, always positive, sensible, funny and just a great person to be around. We will miss him. His funeral will be held at St Brigid’s Church, cnr Main and High Sts, Mordialloc on THURSDAY Mar 27, at 11.00 am.
