Luke Terrell this diminutive, classic forward, jives his way into local folklore once more, as he compiles 200 classy games this week for St Bedes Mentone Tigers.

The Terrapin has won more than the hearts of just the outer wing at Brindisi Street over the past decade. A three time premiership player during the 06, 07 & 08 rise has seen Luke offer his club a fine selection for the highlight reels.

Refusing to adhere to modern football convention and have his wings clipped, nothing delights this powerfully built, moderately hirsute aerialist more than climbing to the top of a pack for a well timed grab in the goal square. However, he also enjoys a goal. Records will show that this Wally Lewis aficionado stands second on the Club’s all time goal kicking list, winning the goal kicking on no less than four occasions.

Testament must also be paid to pacy Luke’s ability to place himself into great ball winning positions, manage chronic hamstring tightness and consistently look fantastic on the dance floor, no matter the genre. Not only has Luke been awarded with a podium finish (neither gold, nor silver) in the highly revered club dance rankings, he was most notably named in the forward pocket for the SBMT team of the last twenty-one years.

A fine, amiable and respected person in all aspects of community and team life, he is to be congratulated for his contribution to SBMT and the VAFA Competition. Well done Luke Terrell.
