Our Under 17’s side have unfortunately been unable to complete their “three-peat” following a barnstorming finish by Mordi-Brae in the Preliminary Final held last Sunday. The final score was Mordi-Brae 13.11-89 to SBMT 11.10-76.
It was bitter pill to swallow for our boys who had won their first 13 games of the year, and were looking to finish their Junior Days on the ultimate high. Their form over the past 3 years has been amazing. Winning Premiership Flags in 2009 & then again in 2010, and losing just a handful of games over that 3 year period. Congratulations goes to the boys for the spirit & sportsmanship in which the game was played, and we wish them all the very best as they move into the VAFA sides of our Club in 2012. Also, a huge thanks goes to Steve D’Andrea who has done a magnificent job coaching these fine young men over the last 4 years.
