It is with great sadness that we write to our SBMT community of the passing of Rhys Gillard, a YrΒ 12 student at StΒ Bede’s College and a great mate to many at the Tigers.Β Rhys passed away unexpectedly during the week from natural causes.Β He trained with and was very much a part of our under 19s team. All SBMT teams from secondary age students up to our seniors will wear arm bands of mourning in honour of Rhys this weekend. The St Bedes/Mentone Tigers AFC sends our deepest condolences to the Gillard family at this terribly tragic and difficult time. RIP.
