The club is excited to announce the appointment of Belinda Ousley, as our new senior women’s coach for season 2022 and beyond.   Belinda takes over the role of senior coach from Alan Gailey, who has done such an amazing job for the club in coaching our juniors youth girls, and our senior women’s team for the last 10 consecutive seasons. We would sincerely like to thank Alan for his tremendous dedication and commitment to the club over this time.

Belinda has been involved with women’s football since 2002, winning a Premiership and a League Goal Kicking Award in 2006, becoming a playing Senior Coach in 2012, then assisting with the formation of the Port Melbourne Football Club’s women’s team in 2018. In the South East Women’s Football League, Belinda achieved 1 x League MVP, 2 x Team of the Year and 3 x Interleague matches (2 as Captain). After meeting outgoing St Bede’s FC senior coach, Alan Gailey, at an Ambulance Victoria football match in 2019, Belinda joined St Bede’s as an Assistant Coach in 2020 and 2021. Belinda was also an Assistant Coach (Defence) and player in the Port Melbourne FC VFLW team in 2021, with the team finishing with a 10-4 record and making finals in its inaugural VFLW season.

Outside of football, Belinda has enjoyed a 15 year career as a Paramedic, is Treasurer of the Victorian Ambulance Union, and is a mother to a 5 year old daughter, Lucy.

Belinda says “I fell in love with the club from day one. The culture is amazing, everyone is welcoming, and the club is equally committed to both success on the field, and producing and nurturing good people off the field. I am excited and incredibly honoured to be part of the St Bede’s family in 2022”.

We welcome the Belinda on board and look forward to exciting times ahead for our Senior women’s program.
